RCX opcodes

Ok guys, we've all seen the multiple IR topics, well...I have one more.

I have one RCX sending a message to another RCX, both with Lejos. The first RCX turns the second RCX off. I have read Kekoa Proudfoots website many times in depth (a great read) but so far what I am doing isn't working. Ok, here is the code I am sending:

55 FF 00 F7 08 60 1F 17E 81

0x60 is the POWER OFF opcode.

When I send the code, the other RCX beeps everytime I send a message, however, nothing happens! Also, if the other RCX is running a program, it doesn't even beep!

If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

As far as I can remember, the original lego software has got a button which you can click to stop any running program. Maybe you can program your rcx record the opcodes and hence find out how to stop a program from running.

I am assuming however that this command will only work on a rcx that is running the original lego firmware and lejos.

Edit: I mean not* lejos.
