audio over bluetooth

I'm wondering about the feasibility of this idea: Wire an audio jack in to the NXT (this part should be easy, once I know which wires should be used,) and then use it to send music to an amplifier wirelessly from a computer. The signal would of course not need to be very strong (hell, an iPod can do it!)

The trouble would be in transferring the data. Should the mp3 be transmitted, and special software on the nxt play it? Or should the sound card on the computer do the work, and then (somehow ) pipe it through the bluetooth as an analog signal?

It should be possible to make a microphone for the NXT, either I2C or analog. Sending data via Bluetooth to the PC wouldn't be a problem. You couldn't do native Bluetooth audio, though (i.e. the Brick couldn't masquerade as a Bluetooth audio device).
