Sensor detection using PC API

Hi all,

We want to make an API to create graphical components for each motors and sensors.
We wanted to ask if it was possible to detect the type of a sensor plugged in a specific port using PC API?

Hi,
In general no it is not possible to detect the type of sensor attached to a sensor port. You may want to see this thread which covers similar issues (though not for leJOS the issues are pretty much the same):

Note that some of the techniques described in the above will probably need code on the NXT...
