Does anyone have any experience of the Mindsensors High Precision Infrared distance sensor? , (DIST-Nx-Long-v2)

How accurate is it?

How does it react to different materials, and to sensing things that are at an angle to the beam?

Long Range: 30 to 140 cm (with highest precision in zone 40 cm to 90 cm).

I think I once read of an accuracy of +-2mm but I can be wrong.

You better ask someone of mindsensors.com. They surely have experience and can answer that.
