NXTMMX is causing a crash?

This is where you talk about the NXJ hardware related topics such as the brick, sensors, LEGO pieces, etc

Okay, well I know that is what mindsensors suggested to me, and it works great on the NXShield-M (although I only set "Kp for Encoder Position
Control" to 0, and left alone "Kp for Speed Control").

I have also noticed a lack of linear response; not only with the NXTMMX, but also with the MTRMX-Nx. It could be that the NXT PWM isn't linear (lego tuned it to seem linear?). Now, if I can get my hands on a scope one of these days.

OK, I will try again with the Kp for encoder position instead and see what that does. Thanks! But... if it seems to work without messing with it, maybe I will just leave it alone...

but...

Curiosity is killing me! I will try that and report back.

Best,

I wonder, why would it work without setting it to 0? After all, that seems to be the biggest complaint issue with the NXTMMX (people having a hard time getting non-NXT motors working with it).

Also, IIRC, once you set the konstants for PID, it remembers them until you change them (even through an 'R' being issued on the command register). I don't know about powering down, but it might remember them even through that (maybe not stored in RAM).
