After some trouble with x64 stuff, i am using eclipse and java x86 on a windows 7 x64, sometimes with the command line

OS X + IntelliJ IDE + Command Line
Having used all of the various Java IDEs for various projects (work related), I have to say IntelliJ is by far the best Java IDE at the moment. It may not be have the elaborate "plugin" architecture that Eclipse has, but what it lacks in trying to be everything, it makes up in speed, agility, and robustness.

Netbeans, BlueJ and command line with Windows, Mac and Linux.
It would be really good if the developers produced a control interface which allowed plugins to have a jar file which does not change from version to version which would improve the stability of plugins?

Initially running Eclipse with plugin on Windows 8 (on VMWare Fusion on OS X host) as it seemed like the easiest way to start as the install is so polished. With all the issues with Java recently I don't feel like risking my main OS X installation.
But today I have installed CrunchBang Linux http://crunchbang.org/ with Eclipse and plugin (again on VMWare Fusion on OS X host). Having a few problems with the USB port, going to post seperately on that.
I use the command line tools like nxjbrowse and nxjcontrol.
