Postby rahat khan » Wed Oct 31, 2012 8:38 am

hi.. I am a beginner and i am working on a robot for path finding competition for that i will have to work on finding the color of the ground ... i am not getting up-to the related material of how to get color recognition with the ultrasonic sensor ... though i have tried different sites but did not find anything relevant ...
Plus I just got the information about I2CSensor package which is i think not supported by my NXT

Well, sorry to break the bad news but the ultrasonic sensor measures distance to an object, not color.

I would suggest:
Reading the Javadoc (http://lejos.sourceforge.net/nxt/nxj/api/index.html) for the lejos.nxt.ColorSensor class and searching the forum i.e. http://lejos.sourceforge.net/forum/search.php?keywords=color+sensor.

There is also a sample program supplied with leJOS. Look for the colorsensortest sample in the leJOS samples directory that will be installed as part of your leJOS installation. You can also browse the source code here:
http://sourceforge.net/p/lejos/code/686 ... rTest.java
