nxjflash not in tar ball - linux

In the readme file, I am instructed to "Flash the leJOS NXJ firmware using nxjflash." I can't seem to find the file. Here is the contents of the bin directory.

lejos_nxt_rom.bin
lejos_nxt_samba_ram.bin
nxj
nxjbrowse
nxjc
nxjlink
nxjupload
StartUpText.bin


The name of the tarball is lejos_NXJ_0_3_0alpha.tar.gz.

Any clues?

You need to follow the instructions for building the release on Linux.

You do:

cd $NXJ_HOME/build
ant

This should build nxjflash etc. and copy it to the bin directory.

I have had the same issue as wyojustin - only on Mac OSX.

When I try to perform "ant" from the build folder, however, I get an error.

The error starts with:

Code: Select all

 [cc] In file included from /Applications/lejos_nxj/src/libnxt/main_jlibnxt.c:29:
[cc] /Applications/lejos_nxj/src/libnxt/jlibnxt.h:2:17: error: jni.h: No such file or directory


and goes on for about 100 lines. It concludes:

Code: Select all

/Applications/lejos_nxj/build/build.xml:65: The following error occurred while executing this line:
/Applications/lejos_nxj/src/libnxt/build.xml:126: gcc failed with return code 1

... so now what do I do?
