I downloaded a few days ago a tool to use the android phone gyro to move the NXT motor 1 and 2. I was wondering if there are a more coomphrensive remote control applications that make less assumptions about the robot setup and allow you to check more sensors and also control all 3 motors.

Hi Aqualuna,
I was looking on the same thing some time ago and I found very interesting webpages of Austrian professor Guenther Hoelzl on
https://sites.google.com/site/ghoelzl/nxtcontrolv2it is quite easy then to modify line Action in the android part of the program to do whatever you wish with the 3rd motor.
