Eclipse Tools Problem

Sometimes I get Variable references empty selection ${project_loc} and if I change the working directory to the file itself it says Variable references empty selection ${java_type_name}.nxj or java and then sometimes I get The Selected Resource does not Resolve to a Java Element but one way or another it won't do diddly. So what did I do wrong, can anyone help? Please and Thanks

You must have the Java file selected in the Eclipse environment. If you've changed the focus to something else and try using those tools it won't know what it is you want to compile/upload.
