Hi folks, I thought I would say hello as I am just starting to use leJOS:-)
For my own reasons I decided to install on the awesome CrunchBang linux in a virtual machine, which was slightly problematic for someone with minimal linux skills. I've documented the install at http://www.moosooboo.com/installing-lejos-and-eclipse-plugin-on-crunchbang-linux-in-a-vmware-fusion-5-virtual-machine-on-a-macbook-pro-running-os-x-mountain-lion-10-8-2/ in case it is of help to others.
The main problem was an inconsistent USB connection between the NXT and leJOS tools ie I would frequenlty get 'NXT not found' or 'NXT ignored' type messages. All is well on Windows 8 and Ubuntu and the NXT was properly mounted as I could see it with 'lsusb' at all times, so I don't think it's hardware. I assume permissions are fine as the NXT would be found sometimes, but then moments later not at all. I'm not sure if this was something to do with Debian based CrunchBang, or a virtual machine issue. Setting the virtual machine to use USB 1.1 helped a lot. If anyone can shed any light on this it would be great.
See you about!
Mike
