Error when flashing Firmware

Postby MyName » Mon Mar 18, 2013 3:28 pm

I encountered a problem when flashing the firmware of leJOS 0.9.1 beta 3 to my NXT:

Progress log:

Building firmware image.
VM file: C:\Program Files (x86)\leJOS NXJ\bin\lejos_nxt_rom.bin
Menu file: C:\Program Files (x86)\leJOS NXJ\bin\StartUpText.bin
Magic string found at offset 0x40
VM size: 55888 bytes.
Menu size: 47740 bytes.
Total image size 103804/104448 bytes.
Building filesystem image.
Locating device in firmware update mode.

I had no problem with the installer and I’m using the phantom driver. I’m on windows 7 64 bit and I have the Java 7u17 JDK both 32 and 64 bit. When running the ‘upload firmware’ from eclipse, I get following message:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?3bo9u4bizmwig1d#
I’ve already tried reinstalling the Phantom driver and leJOS.
Please help!
(Oh and I did have my NXT connected via USB and it was in Firmware update mode)

Btw im German so my English may be weird…

Hi "MyName",

are you asking this question for use with Enchanting, or just for use with leJOS? (None of the instructions to flash the firmware for Enchanting talk of using eclipse, but you are asking in the Enchanting subforum, so I can't tell).

Cheers,
Clinton

Please run nxjflash (without the g) in a command prompt window, and post the output.
(Unfortunately, the GUI tool does not print all messages)

I got a problem: The admin deactivated the console and even making myself the only admin on the computer didn't solve the problem... sorry :(
Hope you can help me even without the Information :?
EDIT: If it helps you: Even with NOT having the NXT connected i get the same error report

Why on earth would somebody do that? What happens if you double click on nxjflash.bat? Does it open a command prompt window? What happens, if you double click on cmd.exe (the file is somewhere in the windows directry). Does that open a command prompt? Or please ask that overprotective admin to relieve you from that unnecessary restriction.
