error running nxjflash

When running nxjflash I get the following error:

NXJ_HOME is c:\lejos\beta_04
Setting fmcn to 50
Checking VM c:\lejos\beta_04/bin/lejos_nxt_rom.bin ... Error in VM file: File open/handling error

My NXT is registered in Device Manager under LEGO Devices as being in firmware upgrade mode although it does not register itself as a USB device when plugged in.

I notice the a couple of slashes going the wrong way - I did download the Windows version - honest!

NXJ_HOME should probably be c:\lejos\beta_04\lejos_nxj

Ok, error is now:

I still think those forward slashes should be backslashes because the file is there and Explorer finds it with backslashes.

by the way I'm on Windows XP sp2.

It's gone a bit quiet out there!

The last step got me a bit closer, I think. I would be most grateful if any one had any further ideas.

Hi,

Any one out there has the right to kick me, but just one of you, please don't rush. My brain must die when I get home. I disobeyed one of my own rules and put a full stop in the folder name.
