TachoNavigator coordinate

Where on the robot is the coordinate of the TachoNavigator? Does the robot consider itself a point and if so where is it centered? Or does it consider it a shape? (IE a box so that only a part of the robot has to be at the coordinate, but it varies based on the point?)

It would be the center point right between the two drive wheels of your robot.
