I'm trying to use iCommand 0.7 to control a NXT car (with the latest leJOS firmware). The NXT device is paired with my Vista laptop, which also set up incoming and outgoing serial ports for it.
I've not been able to reliably connect to the NXT at all, either with my programs or the sample programs. Very occasionally the connection will be made and everything works fine. However most of the time, once I execute a program, the program hangs for a few seconds, with the dongle flashing like it's trying to do something, before this exception its thrown:
Code: Select all
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: gnu.io.PortInUseException: Unknown Application
at icommand.nxt.comm.NXTCommand.open(Unknown Source)
Caused by: gnu.io.PortInUseException: Unknown Application
at icommand.nxt.comm.NXTCommRXTX.open(Unknown Source)
... 2 more
I use RXTX, because the bluecove stuff kept throwing UnsatisfiedLinkErrors. In addition to the steps in the readme, I also had to include a jar from Sun's wireless toolkit.
I think my dongle uses widcomm drivers (since they're made by broadcom), I don't know if that is important, as the documentation only talks about the windows and toshiba stacks?
