Google Protocol Buffers

Postby pakerfeldt » Wed May 09, 2012 6:44 pm

I would like to use Googles Protocol Buffers (https://developers.google.com/protocol-buffers/) in leJOS but I'm unable to compile the program since protobuf uses classes that's not included in classes.jar. ObjectStreamException and TreeMap to name two. This report (http://www.nt.ntnu.no/users/skoge/prost ... s/1871.pdf) indicates that it's possible but I haven't figured out how.
Anyone know if this is possible?

That won't work. leJOS does not support serialization, reflection, or dynamic byte code loading.

Alright. I found some alternative implementations of protocol buffers for J2ME. I guess those might work better? At least I'm able to link the program now. Haven't tried it yet though.
