Hi,
What do you mean by "Mindstorms 2.0 64 bit", what operating system are you running this on?

In which case you will still need to use a 32bit JVM and a 32bit version of Eclipse. The Windows Fantom driver SDK is only available as a 32bit interface (which is what we use to talk to the USB driver). Also I think that Bluecove is also only 32bit on Windows (though I may be wrong about that)....

Not unless there is a way to get 64 bit access to the USB device and the Bluetooth stack... Is there any reason you need a 64bit version?

No, i was just curious as to why you guys wouldnt want to take advantage of the 64bit os's if given the choice.
Thanks!

Write a JNI wrapper similar to jfantom.dll. You can use the winusb API to access the NXT.
Or if you're using OSX, then write something using OSX's native USB API, if such a thing exists.

Hi Sven,
Seems that the Bluecove snapshot is supposed to run with a 64bit JRE have you ever tried it? Did you ever get anywhere with a 64bit USB driver?

I modified the winusb example from MSDN, and I was able to iterate over the endpoints of a connected NXT. My next step would have been to send some LCP command to the NXT. However, I have never gotten around to do that. Also, I'm not sure where I left the sourcecode :-(
