How to control the NXT with a PC ?

Hello,

I'm a beginner and i search some help to control my NXT with my PC. For example, write a number on my PC and then it woulb be appear on the LCD, or do the robot foward, stop, etc. Is it possible? I use Eclipse and Lejos 0.9.1. I don't see where in Eclipse i can write command. I've read some topic, but whitout success.
