nxjbrowse problem on ubuntu[SOLVED]

Postby adamkrisz » Wed Jan 30, 2013 6:42 pm

Hi

I installed lejos 0.9.1 on my nxt. I use ubuntu 12.10 and everything works great, I can compile and run my programs, but the nxjbrowse throw IOExceptions and make 0byte files when I try download or upload with it. I have no idea what can be the problem or something, so do you have some tip?

(Sorry for my bad English)

I have fixed the problem : http://lejos.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4308&p=18643#p18643

What do these IOExceptions look like?
Is there any output on the terminal?

and only this in the terminal:
Code: Select all
krisz@krisz-ubi:~/robot$ nxjbrowse
Found NXT: NXT 00165313C000

Thanks for that. I'm afraid that is useless. But that is not your fault. I will have to prepare a special version of nxjbrowse, that isn't that shy about the details of the exception (message string, stack trace, etc.). Unfortunately, I don't have time for that right now. Can you reproduce the issue with nxjupload? Or maybe nxjcontrol? (Even though nxjcontrol might be just as quiet as nxjbrowse about the exception details.)

nxjcontrol does the same, but nxjupload works.

Do you run programs while nxjbrowse or nxjcontrol remains connected to the NXT?
Does the IOException go away, if you disconnect/reconnect in nxjcontrol before/after you run a program?

So when exactly does the problem happen? Can you reproduce it by a certain procedure? Tell me exactly what you do to reproduce the problem.

hm, I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, so: I wrote a program wich make a file on the nxt. This program has run and made the file (and every other prorgam works). But the main problem is that I cant download any file (programs or the file the program made) with nxjbrowse/nxjcontrol.

I have just solved the problem: the system accidently used the open jvm, I changed it back to the oracle's jvm with 'sudo update-alternatives --config java'

Thanks for your help:)
