NXT, bluetooth and mobile phone

Postby daywalker » Thu Apr 26, 2007 12:30 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to use a mobile phone with bluetooth as a remote control for a lejos java based NXT?

I want to write a midlet for my mobile phone but the problem ist the bluetooth communication between the NXT and my mobile phone.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Manu

Bluetooth midlets work for me on my Nokia 7610 phone. You need a phone that supports the JSR-82 Bluetooth API. The Lego Mobile Phone Application available from the official Lego site works for me even though mine is not one of the supported phones. You can use it with the BTRespond sample program to drive your robot around. I have also written my own very simple midlet that connects and sends a message to the BTRespond program.
