P5 Data Glove project

I have decided to take on the challenge of the P5 Data Glove project in Brian Bagnall's book: Maximum Lego NXT, and I have everything set up right, but there seems to be a problem with the program itself, in that it doesn't get past:

BlueCove version 2.0.0 on widcomm

and the program has to be manually terminated. If anybody has a working program could they post it? Thanks!
