As you have read, I am building my own Gyro.

My question is. Have you ever done something similar?
What were your problem area's? Do you like to share?

For the people who haven't have been building their own sensors. Have you got any valuable information wich you like to share (e.g. drivers.)

And what code should I use for building the driver?

Hi,
I built my own accelerometer/tilt sensor that I used to create my NXT segway robot. I actually hacked one of the Lego sound sensors to do it (since I had two and never use them)... It is easy to use the existing hardware buffer amplifier that is on that board (well relatively easy! You have to cut tracks and solder wires). You can also pick up power etc from the existing hardware...

So what are you using to build the sensor with? How do you intend to access it (I2C, analogue?).

Do you have some documentation on that project?

Like photo's or whatever?

I have a question for the harware freaks: (gloomyandy?)

Is the I2C input device set up as a MASTER or as a SLAVE?
I am (together with a colleague) programming the PIC16F690 so that I can read the vallue's from a Cruizcore Gyro wich is RS232 and convert it to I2C

But I need to know if the input device is set up as Master or as SLAVE.

I NEED to know this. or else my printboard will burn :twisted:

Oh and one other thing... If you are building your own i2c device then I seem to remember that you will need to add a pull up resistor on the CLK and DATA lines... The Lego hardware guide has all of the details....
