Hi

I have just bought my NXT, from what I have read to download a lejos java program I have to replace the lego supplied menuing system, and to get it pack reload the original firmware.

Have I got it right or can the lego os and lejos co-exist?

Yup, that's correct. You are changing the firmware so therefore you cannot have more then one firmware on the brick at once.
