I just have been making so much progress. But now I am VERY stuck. When I download the "firmdl.bat" file to the RCX, it climbs up to 67%, then fails. Here is the error:


"Response = -4"

I have researched, but cannot find what this means. I have tried replacing batteries, changing amount of ambient light, etc. No solution yet. I would really appreciate any answers to this problem, thanks.

The LEGO tower can be very sensitive to light. Make sure you have it away from bright lights. Tower to RCX of about 6 inches is optimal.

Also, if you are using lejosfirmdl with the -f option, try it without. The fast mode can be unreliable.

Give it a few more tries and it should work.

Thanks. I used lejosfirmdl.exe instead of firmdl.bat and it worked perfectly...Appreciate the help!
