The development team currently have i2c sensors working to some extent. These include the Lego Ultrasonic sensor and some HiTechnic/mindsensors sensors. We could do an early alpha release with partial i2c support in anyone is desperate to get their hands on this functionality, or we could wait until we have i2c fully working.
There has also been a lot of work on the Motor class, a new steering control class, and navigators.

It would be great if you released partial release. Even if some stuff isn't working but code skeleton is there. For example I am developing large program and so far just writing code in Eclipse, so won't be ready to launch it on NXT for awhile anyway. But it'd be great to develop to known interface.
