This is where you talk about the NXJ hardware related topics such as the brick, sensors, LEGO pieces, etc.

Max no. files in flash memory

Postby scorcher » Fri Jun 19, 2009 7:19 am

(sory for my grammar, but English isn't my native language)

How many files can I storage in flash memory? I noticed, that when I save more than 10 files, then lejOS crash. It's posibly hanging files issue.
ps. My question is how many files, not memory capacity ang paging.

Hi,

You should be able to have up to 30 files on the NXT. Could you post more details of your problem. How are you creating the files. When does the NXt crash. What exactly are you doing...

Thanks

Andy

I'm doing a voice sterning with knn classifier. I'm saving txt files with features tabs. Those tabs are 10-15 and afer save 10th file, lejOS crash. I solved this saving this tabs in one, bigger file.

Hi
Can you describe what you are actually doing. Are you creating the files from a program on the NXT? Or are you downloading the files. What happens when things go wrong? Do you get an exception? Does the program hang?

Thanks

Andy

I have got exception (sory, but I didn't remeber what) and I must restart brick ("orange" + "grey" button). Maybe problem is with names, for instant like in DOS, 8 for name and 3 for extention?
Sorry for my grammar. English isn't my native language.
